During the restoration of this early 20th-century building, approximately one hundred YESLY devices—including smart dimmers, actuators, and chronothermostats—were integrated into the electrical panels across various rooms. This made the villa a true smart home with centralized automation for lighting, electric blinds, and climate control, all manageable both on-site and remotely.
A core objective of the restoration was to fully modernize the home while preserving its historical charm and unique character. This involved highlighting features such as the Pompeian red corridors and frescoed floral vaulted ceilings. Given the villa’s significant size, a centralized control system for internal and external lighting, electric blinds, and climate control on both floors was essential.
The lighting system was a key focus, with a design project led by the Bulbus lighting design italian studio. They were responsible for creating custom lighting scenarios for the entire property, inside and out. To meet the project’s needs, the electrical system included: multiple multi-function dimmers and relays for managing indoor and outdoor lights, fifty actuators for the centralized opening and closing of 25 electric blinds, over twenty BLISS2 smart chronothermostats to manage the temperature on both floors.
Today, thanks to the YESLY comfort living system, residents can easily control lights, smart thermoregulation, and blinds using the Finder YOU app and voice assistants. This provides instant control from anywhere, even when not physically present at the villa.
The installation of YESLY devices proved to be a strategic choice for both structural and functional reasons. It helped maintain the historical integrity of a 120-year-old building while enabling complete smart control over lighting, blinds, and climate. This project highlights how modern technology can be seamlessly integrated into a historic setting, making this villa a premier example of smart living in Italy.
