OPTA Energy Monitor is software that allows simple monitoring and management of energy consumption (kWh) in rooms, garages, offices, or shared areas. OPTA Energy Monitor software operates locally, saving data to OPTA’s internal memory and allowing readings to be downloaded from the 7M Series smart meters to your PC, in Excel/CSV format.
WHAT IS POSSIBLE WITH OPTA ENERGY MONITOR SOFTWARE?
With OPTA Energy Monitor software, you have a simple and secure system to monitor and manage local electrical consumption for up to 5 years.
Simply connect an OPTA Plus (8A.04.9.024.8310) or OPTA Advanced (8A.04.9.024.8320) to a 7M Series smart energy meter using the Modbus port to store the energy consumption data.
Connecting the OPTA to your PC via a USB Type-C port, you can read in real-time readings and download all stored data.
Each OPTA can be connected to up to 30 7M Series energy meters. The entire system can be configured using a guided procedure and the Finder Toolbox application, which is required to set the Modbus parameters on the meters.
MINIMUM SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
- Windows 10/11 operating system
- The latest version of Arduino IDE
- OPTA Plus (8A.04.9.024.8310) or OPTA Advanced (8A.04.9.024.8320)
- Shielded cable for Modbus RS485
- Finder 7M.24.8.230.0210 or 7M.38.8.400.0212 Modbus RS485 energy meters
- Finder Toolbox App for iOS or Android systems
- OPTA and 7M Series smart energy meters must be powered using a suitable power supply E.G. 78.12.1.230.2482 or similar
