Type 77.31: New models of the modular SSR 30 A
A new range of Solid State Relay modules with 30 A AC switching capability is now available. Housed in a plastic casing with integral aluminum heat sink and of 22.5 mm width, these SSRs feature high thermal efficiency (guaranteeing full load operation without de-rating over an ambient temperature range of -20 to 40 ° C) and are available in two different terminal versions:

- “Relay” version, i.e. where input and output terminals are on opposite sides - more suited for new installations, where it is easier to achieve greater separation between input and output wiring.
- “Contactor” version i.e. where input and output terminals are adjacent to one another - useful as a replacemenfor other SSR or electromechanical contactors in existing applications.
There are also two options of input voltage:
- Rated input voltage 24 V DC input (range 4 ... 32 V DC)
- Rated input 230 V AC (range 40 ... 280 V AC)
and there are two options of type of output switching - both rated at 30 A , 400 V AC (range 40 ... 480 V AC):
- “Zero crossing”, suitable for lamp loads
- “Random”, particularly suitable for motor loads
The new codes are as follows:
- 77.31.9.024.8050 “relay” version - input voltage 24 V DC, output Zero crossing
- 77.31.9.024.8070 “contactor” version - input voltage 24 V DC, output Zero crossing
- 77.31.9.024.8051 “relay” version - input voltage 24 V DC, output Random
- 77.31.9.024.8071 “contactor” version - input voltage 24 V DC, output Random
- 77.31.8.230.8050 “relay” version - input voltage 230 V AC, output Zero crossing
- 77.31.8.230.8070 “contactor” version - input voltage 230 V AC, output Zero crossing
- 77.31.8.230.8051 “relay” version - input voltage 230 V AC, output Random
- 77.31.8.230.8071 “contactor” version - input voltage 230 V AC, output Random
The 77 series will be expanded over the next 2-3 months, with additional modular 15 A types and a range of “Hockey Puck” style relays from 25 to 50 A
